When Does a “Challenge” Become a Habit? Body By Vi Changes Lives

In undertaking the ViSalus 90 Day Body By Vi Challenge, I expected to undergo changes. Changes to my weight, my body shape, my cardiovascular health and strength. But one thing I hadn’t expected was that the “Challenge” that I had begun would become a HABIT that I am unlikely to break for YEARS to come.
I have always done regular exercise 3 or 4 times a week. I prided myself in being ‘pretty fit for a mom of 2′. I wasn’t overweight by any standard formula… but I knew what I weighed before I had baby #2. I knew it was possible- but had no real reason to push to lose those last pounds and inches… Until the Challenge.
As part of my Challenge I made the decision to work out a full 5x per week and increase the amount of weight training in my exercise regimen.
If you look at the earlier posts on this blog, you will see that I was incredibly excited to take on the Challenge, and I blogged and took abundant videos. It was exciting to spend this time on ME and my Transformation. I wanted to document this journey from beginning to end. But about a month into the Challenge what I was doing stopped being new and exciting and became the ‘norm’. It became a part of my everyday life – a Habit.
I think ViSalus Sciences knows that the Challenge will result in really healthy habits for YOU. Ones that will improve the quality of your life, and ultimately increase your longevity.
My new habit is to hit the gym at least 5x a week. To hit the weights at least 2x a week and incorporate sculpting into my workouts most other days. On days that I don’t hit the gym, I am cognizant of the fact that I haven’t exercised. My muscles feel different, like they want to MOVE. I find myself dropping to do push ups, sit ups and dips in my living room. I lace up my running shoes and head out the door. My habit is a STRONG, energetic body. I sleep incredibly well and feel fantastic. I am a better ME. The Challenge has made me a better me!
Others who have joined me on the Challenge have spoken about other healthy habits that have formed since beginning their challenge, and I couldn’t be happier for them.
You see, the Challenge is as individual as the people who will embark on it. As you look at the before pictures and goals of the thousands of people who have undergone the Challenge in the ViNet, you will see every health goal imaginable. There are people who have goals to lose 60 pounds, drop their cholesterol levels, lower their blood pressure, manage their diabetes and more. There are also incredibly fit people who have goals to lower their BMI or do a couple of triathlons. There is incredible variation in the goals – but a common thread of determination runs through the posted pictures, videos and blogs. They have the strength of an entire community behind their health goals, and because they are plugged into the ViNet community they are far more likely to achieve those goals than if they were to try to move forward on their own.
The support of the “Body By Vi Challengers” goes beyond that of the other people on the Challenge in the ViNet. ViSalus also has a Body By Vi Facebook Application so that people can ask their own friends and family to support them in their health goals. With their goals posted and their update photos up for all to see, they are far more likely to stick to the Challenge. If everyone is watching, its the ultimate accountability!
Gratitude abounds for the Body By Vi 90 Day Challenge and the healthy habits it will help people to instill all across this nation.
What are you willing to take on as a Challenge, that will ultimately become a habit? Post your intentions in the comments below.

Body by Vi Challenge, Day 31. Rain, Starbucks, and a chance to reflect.

I’m on day 31 of the ViSalus Body by Vi Challenge. That’s 1/3 of the way in, or just 60 days to go.
It takes just 21 days to form a habit – so I can say that the Challenge is officially a habit. Blending up a delicious, nutritious shake with fruit and the Trim Slim Shake mix is more than easy – I look forward to it!
Before the Challenge I would have a large glass of water, then 2 cups a tea for breakfast… not quiet enough to spark my metabolism. If I headed to the gym, I’d force down something small like fruit before I went. Essentially, I would be running on empty before I even arrived. After pushing through an hour of exercise, I felt totally drained. I’d replenish with an apple… and eat something when I got in. I felt I was doing my body good.
The drastic difference now is obvious. I blend up my shake in about 2 minutes before bouncing out the door to the gym a minimum of 4x per week. I drink 1/2 on the way there and feel more than satiated and fueled for my workout. My workout is strong, powerful and burns up a ton of calories because I am more energetic throughout. When I’m through, I am aware that my body needs re-fueling – so I drink the second half of my shake.
Do you know the ’so hungry you could eat a horse’ feeling? The one where you would almost stop for fast food (gag me!). I can tell you that the Trim Slim Shake wipes that out INSTANTLY. It actually nourishes your body, so those horrible cravings go away. And its SOOO yummy.
I find myself wanting one as a late night snack. No kidding. Ever heard that said about a diet shake before?
I’m on the one Trim Slim Shake per day regimen. I have just a few more pounds to lose and will do that through boosting my metabolism in the morning with a Trim Slim Shake, exercise that includes strength training and cardio, and watching my daily diet with the online Health Tracking System that is built into the Vi-Net for those who are on the Challenge.
I KNOW that with the habits I have formed I will more than reach my goals.
Check out what has already happened to my belt! Looks like it will go around twice if I keep shrinking
My belt goes halfway around the back of me! I’ve ’shrunk’ to a size 4!
On Monday the Magic Bus comes to take my children to school. This marks a brand new chapter in our lives, as both kids will be in school all day long! I’ll drop them off at the bus stop at 9:15 (yes, we are lucky to start the day at such a wonderful time), and then I’ll head straight to the gym. 5 days a week, no excuses! My habit of regular exercise for one hour, 4 or 5 times a week will be increased to an hour and a half- a full 90 minutes 5 days a week.
I’m going to look and feel amazing!
Are your kids starting school soon? What a perfect day to initiate a new habit that will improve all areas of your life: Regular exercise! And what a better way to support your body than with the Trim Slim Shake ? Got alot to ‘lose’? Go for the full Transformation Kit and watch the pounds melt away as you feel better than you have in years, fully 100% money back guaranteed

The Weight Loss Challenge of the Weekend… Prime time temptation!

Its Thursday night, Day 17 of the Body By Vi Challenge, and I’m contemplating the challenge that the weekend poses. You see, Monday -Thursday there are great classes at the YMCA. Monday is Zumba, Tuesday Kickboxing, Wednesday Strength Training and Thursday is Zumba again. But then Friday morning comes and I really wanna slack. I mean, I worked out 4 times this week already… and Friday is strength training again and if there was one class I’d love to sleep through… that is IT!
So, will I sleep through it and promise myself that I’ll do a water workout later???
I mean, its Friday after all.
Then, of course thee is the question of sticking to healthy low calorie intake over the weekend. Whats with Saturday and Sunday that just invite overindulgence? All across the world people are packing more calories into those 2 days than they should be eating all WEEK! It true, and you know it!
I’m a home based entrepreneur. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are really just 3 more days that I choose to do as I like. And this weekend, I resolve to stick to the Challenge!
I still have muscle to gain, and fat to lose.
I have a strength training class tomorrow to wake up for, and a healthy diet to stick to on Saturday and Sunday.
I can and will still eat yummy ‘weekend’ foods, just smaller portions!
When you have a plan, you will not deviate from your goals!
Make your plan to start the challenge, map out your action steps to reach your goals. Plug into the community forum for support-
and totally get FIT!

Zumba & Gratitude! Day 14 of the ViSalus Body By Vi Challenge

Day 14 of the ViSalus Body by Vi Challenge and I headed to Zumba on a Monday morning.
Heading to DANCE on a Monday morning?Take a minute to consider just how fantastic that is…
Driving to dance, instead of driving to work??? YEZZZZ!
I’m an Internet Entrepreneur and support my family 100% with my home based business – reason to be grateful!
To get to my Zumba class I drove past the high school where I spent 3 years teaching science. I taught out of necessity and did not enjoy it at all! I worked my home based business consistently and persistently in the evening, knowing exactly where I would be as a result – working from HOME!
I only know one way to succeed- and that is to take massive action to achieve my goals. I WILL lose 4 lbs and get really strong on this challenge- because I’ll workout a minimum of 5 times a week and will track my diet in the Vi-Net Health Tracking system that we get with the ViSalus Body By Vi Challenge.
Do you have health goals that always seem out of reach?
Combine a proven weight loss program with our online health tracker and community support- and you are far more likely to succeed where you have not before!
Do You Zumba? Lose more weight while you do with the ViSalus Transformation Kit:

Body By Vi Day 4, Body, Mind and Spirit ... oh and calories too :)
Because I didn't actively burn calories I had a shake for both breakfast and lunch and really paid attention to what I ate.
I've been using the online health tracker that is built into the Vi-Net. You simply add in your current wight and a few other stats, and it tells you exactly how many calories you should be taking in based on your goals. Then, you can input your daily diet and track exactly what you are taking in. It has most of the USDA food database in it so its really easy ~ and crucial! 80% of weight loss is changing your diet. We cannot change our bodies through exercise alone.
Watch here.
If you want help planning out your daily meals- the Vi-net health tracking system has suggested recipes and will even give you your shopping list based on your planned meals. Talk about push button easy!
Feeling like this is just too hard for you? Get some inspiration from the community! Log into the Vi-net and watch some of our challenger's videos and see their success stories. It will help you to stay on track!
Weight loss truly is a whole mind, body, spirit thing - and the Body By Vi challenge has all of the elements covered!

Day 1 of 90 Day Challenge! Melanie Milletics Kicks off the Body By Vi Fitness Challenge with Kickboxing

I'm undertaking the 90 Day Body by Vi Challenge to reach the fitness goals that have been just out of reach ever since I had my second child!
I'm a 34 year old mother of 2 young children, and I thought for sure I'd always be stuck at 136 lbs. No matter how much I worked out or thought I was watching what I ate, I just couldn't get below that 136lbs! I blamed it on my metabolism changing after the second baby, or my age.
~ But just 45 days ago I started on ViSalus' 1 shake a day program and plugged into their health tracking tools and have dropped down to 124lbs!
I have just 4 more pounds to lose to reach my weight loss goal and I absolutely will do that easily over the next 90 days. More importantly, I intend to increase my lean body mass - that is, increase muscle mass and lose inches! I'll do that with the Transformation Kit and a workout regimen of 2 days of cardio and 2 days weight training, with a liberal dose of swimming for good measure.
Support me on my challenge! Better yet, join me and reach your own goals!
Day 1 of the challenge, and I almost didn't make it to my Kickboxing class! I could easily have rolled right back over in bed when I realized I had less than 20 minutes to get ready and make my shake... but, well, watch for yourself!
Watch here
Now, I have an amazing advantage in that I have an incredible YMCA. Over the coming weeks, I'll share with you the variety of classes I'll take to reach my goals.
Watch here.
Meet my Kickboxing instructor and find out how she keeps her class crankin, even as she is kicking our butts!
Watch here.
